Clear, removable aligners to comfortably and discreetly straighten your teeth
If you want straight teeth and a beautiful smile, but can’t bear the thought of having brackets on your teeth then this is the treatment for you! Invisalign uses a series of clear removable trays to correct crowding, spacing, and misaligned teeth. Nobody will know you’re wearing them or know that you’re undergoing orthodontic treatment, but they sure will notice the results! If you want to straighten your teeth, but don’t want to deal with all of the inevitable comments from others when you have braces on your teeth, this can be our little secret.
Advantages of Invisalign versus Braces
There are several advantages that clear aligners, such as Invisalign, offer. For instance, you can remove the trays if you have an important social event and don’t want to keep up with the trays for a short while. You won’t have to worry about broken brackets or wires poking you at any time. The trays are smooth, comfortable, and without sharp edges that could irritate your mouth. This is the best way available today to correct tooth alignment issues without having to put braces on your teeth.
Unlike traditional braces, you can easily maintain your dental hygiene as flossing and brushing are not inhibited. Additionally, there are no restrictions with the types of food you can eat since trays are removed during meals. Sticky foods, popcorn, nuts, and gum are all on the list of approved items because there are no disallowed items with Invisalign! If you lead an active lifestyle that includes sports or other physical activities, you no longer need to worry about any brackets or wires being dislodged or of your mouth being roughed up.
After all diagnostic records are taken you trays will be custom made by computerized milling units and shipped to our office for delivery. You will wear each of the series of trays for 2 weeks for a minimum of 22 hours each day (ideally). We will see you in our office to monitor your progress every 4-6 weeks and will evaluate the fit of trays and the accuracy of tooth movement. Length of treatment depends on how complex your individual case is, but treatment is not complete until the teeth are ideally aligned.
